Everybody has heard the tale of Cassidy Sullivan by now. She’s practically a local legend; a boogeyman to scare children. “Don’t go out at night. Too dangerous; see what happened to Cassidy!?” “Don’t talk to strangers or you’ll end up like Cassidy!” It’s been a year since her disappearance (she was 16 years old when last seen). The police have long since chased down and exhausted all leads they had and have come up with nothing. It’s as though she simply vanished into thin air like a magic trick, only no one’s laughing. Her mother, however, has never given up hope her daughter will return.
As a figure in Cass' life, you've caught wind of a candlelight vigil being held by her family on the one year anniversary of her disappearance, and decide to attend to pay your respects. But too many vexing thoughts cross your mind. What DID happen to her? Was she killed, disappeared, or maybe…. Taken? Rumors run wild in the community, and you have your own suspicions…. Perhaps the vigil might shed some light the subject…?
GAME RULES & GUIDELINES:
TO PARTICIPATE, before game day fill out & submit this questionnaire; build your character’s backstory & step into the world laid before you.
• Beginners welcome / “First Timers” have the most fun! You don't have to know how to play DREAD or other RPGs. Just show up and all game rules will be explained.
• Doors open at 5pm, game starts at 5:30 with an intermission for snacks.
• Capped to 10 player characters; with additional seats for spectators who are welcome to observe the theater & gameplay (we will expect respectful performance audience etiquette).
• Suggested Donations: $15 for player characters / $5 for spectators.
Donations collected at the door. Pay what you can; No one turned away for lack of funds!

Mechanics :: Welcome to DREAD- a RPG that uses a Jenga tower instead of dice! DREAD is, at base, a HORROR STORY game. That means threatening situations, monsters, and potential character death
The main mechanic used will be a simple Jenga tower. Pull and successfully place a piece for specific actions. The rest is just roleplay! And what happens if the Tower falls? Your character is doomed, but players can access a special post-death game if desired.
