PERFORMER BIOS:
TINA LEFAUVE is an industrial noise artist who performs in her sound studio in the Agitator Gallery building. She is a longtime host and curator of experimental sound/musician/artists.
MELON SPROUT makes amplified ceramic instruments, and electrifies them in high energy performances. Melon & the ceramic are pushed to sonic material limits, often leaving both in pieces.
NICOLE ALONSO is an experimental sound artist, she uses left field recordings, instagram sound scrollage, and performance to explore themes of identity and memory.
ELLE WHITE is a filmmaker, writer and musician based in Chicago. Her musical offerings explore emotion and improvisation in order to create open ended storytelling and one’s relation or reaction to the piece, typically either done in Drone/Doom Metal or Ambient/Glitch music.
Nu A.M. creates cassette-based sound collage work using tape loops, field recordings, shortwave radio, found cassette recordings and delay. Their process-focused work explores overlooked moments in time, transforming them from forgotten media to present day sound design and performance.
NICK MERYHEW is an experimental musician, arts educator, improviser, and passionate home cook. Their work explores environmental sound in physical and virtual spaces, noise as an extreme and quotidian phenomenon, and the elastic relationships between sound recording and time keeping. Their work has been presented at Elastic Arts, No Nation, MCA Chicago, Constellation Chicago, the Neo-Futurists Theater, Babycastles (NYC), Mirrorlab (Minneapolis), Experimental Sound Studio, and Roman Susan, among others. They currently perform solo and with Tallulah Bankheist, Heavy Tiny, Paradise Complete, Sandpusher, and STOMACHS.
JEFFREY GOULET is an experimental guitarist and drummer / improviser and composer. Currently a member of In Masks, Lovely Little Girls (Skin Graft), Taste Rubber (Already Dead Tapes), Larvavision (Lurker Bias), and Pet Peeves (Orb Tapes).
DELILAH SMITH is a composer, improviser, producer and multimedia artist based in Chicago, IL since 2022. She has been active under different monikers and bands since 2011, frequently moving between popular and experimental idioms while learning to play with guitars, synthesizers and software. She graduated from Oberlin Conservatory’s TIMARA department in 2021, where her activities broadened further to include notated music, video/film, installation, and handmade/historical synthesizers.
CLARK WOODS is a visual aritist who will provide visual imagery to accompany the performances.
