Agitator Gallery presents the artists featured tonight—published in the comics journal—will present and engage in a symposium discussion about the role of comics artists in worldwide cultural exchange and other broad international influences within the field. All the while selling their comics at the expo table sales; come get unique, local and international DIY comics art titles!
Hosted by: Sheep Cult Comics & Agitator Artist Collective. The expo features local artists offering their titles in a market at this DIY Artist’s bookstore in Wicker Park.

These comics artists were recruited worldwide from Korea, Europe, and other international locales to present their work along with Chicago artists in our gallery and published in our Agitator Comics! anthology: WORLDWIDE (journal #6) that spans audiences across all languages and cultures.

Join us for the many events throughout August at Agitator Gallery including a DIY Publishing Comics & Zines Expo sponsored by Sheep Cult Comics, a costumed/cosplay live modeling Figure Drawing Session at Agitator Gallery with costumes styled by artist M0thur Mothra with horror/contraposto lighting, a “meet the Artists” Critique & Talkback Night and a closing Festival of Animation organized by guest curator Chris Wellems.

The RIOT IN FLATLAND exhibit serves as the publication/release party for WORLDWIDE: Agitator Comics! This August, Agitator is excited to debut Volume 6 of its comics journals in both Chicago and at the Trinacria Arts Festival in Sicily, Italy run by our friends @trinacriatheatr. Agitator’s Comics Journal #6 is being published in Chicago by member Alex Wilson and exhibited in countries around the world by travelling Agitator co-founder, Gretchen Hasse.
