March 23 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm CDT

Throughout history, sex work has been at the core of world culture. This introductory survey examines sex workers in art, sex worker artists, and the ways in which human societies have grappled with both.

Dan Merkle is an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Department of Art History, Theory & Criticism at The School of The Art Institute of Chicago. He has included issues around sex work in his global art history lecture for fifteen years.
