Agitator Co-operative Gallery was co-founded by seven Chicago-based artists in April 2017. Members share a common goal to curate art work that agitates, or campaigns to provoke dialog and generate diversity, while respecting each artist’s vision and self-definition.
We are located at 1112 N. Ashland, a 1,000 sq. ft. storefront in the Wicker Park/West Town neighborhood of Chicago, which is a property owned by the founders of the renowned Chopin Theatre. We are located north of two galleries that have recently opened on Ashland Avenue, One After 909 and Aspect Ratio.
This base fund will help us while we set up much needed and reliable income streams, such as grants, onsite workshops, and use of our space to host other arts, nonprofit and charitable groups for events and activities, which will sustain our gallery space.
We at Agitator are forever grateful for your donation and will label your name as a donor on our website.
Thank you and cheers to the positive agitation of conversation, intellect and diversity in the art community and beyond!
